...yet another style...my first time trying it; i was inspired by AR Chughtai- amazing amazing contemporary pakistani artist...used to paint around the 1920's

the painting by ARC that inspired me was the depiction of a couple from a poem by Omar Khayyam- I took the basic form of the male character- colours, type of clothes etc and changed it to a portrait of Majnoon- from the infamous tale of layla/majnoon
Symbolism etc;
the rose on top of the book depicts the poetic/romantasized depth of the story
i made his clothes really loose/his turban too big for his head because majnoon wasnt really a king- he was only a common dude that fell in love with a girl from his village (persian interpratation of the story anyways)- but it was the depth of his emotions that made his story as well known as those of the rich and famous around his time
but anyways; i know the geometric stuff sucks u_u i made most of them up on the computer and i havent done much of it before- but im planning to improve soon iA ^^
